Legends of Ardin
Ahmzanii is the trickster goddess of the Synsenn pantheon who reigns over darkness, fate, luck, magic, fertility, and the wilderness. Variously devoted and duplicitous, Ahmzanii is known to give blessings of barrenness as often as of bounty and though more short-lived races might be baffled by the elves' worship of a goddess who gives fortune as readily as misfortune, elven followers of Synsenn know that though their goddess does not spoil her devotees, her aim is rather to instill a greater appreciation for the plenty of a good harvest born from a fear and knowledge hunger. Moreover, as a goddess of fate and prophecy, Ahmzanii is also a goddess of foresight and her devotees are consummate guardians of food stores, reserving some part of each harvest, known as "Ahmzanii's measure", to be stored for the future.
As a goddess of the wilderness, elven druids often worship Ahmzanii alone, as creatress of the flora and fauna to which they dedicate their lives. In the wilderness, Ahmzanii reigns over chaos and tranquility alike, blessing beasts and monsters with their survival instincts and filling the natural world with an unearthly beauty unknown to the civilized world. One of Ahmzanii's favored creations are those plants and animals who carry venoms and poisons for their own defense or to aid them in endeavors of predation: in those life forms, the goddess mingles the vibrant with the vicious to help ensure the survival of her creations.
